Our History
St. Bonaventure Parish has served the Lake Bonavista community in southeast Calgary for over 50 years. Generations of families have been baptized, married, and buried from this parish — a community built on faith, service, and welcome.
Our Patron Saint
St. Bonaventure was a 13th-century Franciscan friar, theologian, and Doctor of the Church, known for teaching that all true wisdom flows from and returns to the love of God. His life of scholarship joined to simple devotion continues to shape our parish's spirit today.
